We do an individualized evaluation of each student’s strengths and weaknesses, then tailor a program to address specific needs and objectives.
Subject Tutoring
We offer tutoring in all core subjects from Kindergarten through 12th grade and beyond. Our tutors hold degrees in their specific subject areas, and are passionate teachers, trained to assess and work within each student’s unique learning style. In addition to offering support for core and AP courses, we provide academic support for standardized test preparation, college courses, writing, and foreign languages.
Academic Coaching
To empower students to succeed in and out of the classroom, Learning Matters, Inc., developed programs and workshops that incorporate study and organizational skills into tutoring for specific subjects. These practical, insightful programs address the fundamentals of organizing and prioritizing, study methods, time management skills, and other strategies that can raise “C” average students to “A” students.
Our Study Skills & Executive Functioning program is a 12-week program, designed to help students in middle and high school learn how to take control of their learning, planning, and monitoring of their progress while gaining effective learning strategies. Each 60 minutes session expands on the principles of goal setting, time management, organization techniques, reading, and writing strategies, and learning styles, using brain-friendly, bite-size, clear, actionable steps.

Parent Service Center
Parents appreciate the support services we offer them. These range from assisting at parent orientations at schools to participating in conference calls with teachers. We help identify appropriate non-academic activities such as sports, band, or volunteer and community service opportunities. We are also a resource for at-home activities that keep students in good condition to think and learn when school is not in session. Preparing and submitting college applications requires patience and tenacity. Our service provides resources to help parents and students successfully navigate the college readiness and application process.
